Sorry it has been so long since an update. We've been setting up the house...everything from buying a lawnmower to patio furniture to already pulling weeds from our new sod! Nevertheless, we have made some great progress on the house and are looking forward in getting some new stuff in the rooms that are left to be furnished.
That all being said (or written, as it were), here are pictures of the downstairs. Upstairs pictures will be coming soon, including ones of our new king-sized bed that we got from The Dump (it's a furniture store in the ATL).
Enjoy!
LOVE the new sod. It's so green and beautiful -- ready to die this summer! :-)
Entrance Hall
The table was my grandmother's. We'll probably replace it with a longer console table soon.
View of the family room/kitchen from in front of the stairs
Family Room
View of the family room from the kitchen - love the open concept
Downstairs bathroom
Guest bedroom...still a little decorating left to do in here
Dining room
The buffet. I love the "Wooleys Est. 2011" platter my sister got us for a wedding present, and the monogrammed wine glasses for Christmas.
Kitchen - Matt has his grandmother's kitchen table, which fits perfectly in this space
The china cabinet was also his grandmother's. It matches the table, and perfectly showcases our crystal and a few other precious items.
And lest we forget who the real master of the house is. Matt and I may make the payments, but Cobb is the real owner.
Hope you enjoyed the tour! Come visit soon! And stay tuned for pictures of the upstairs.
Until next time...
